Pieces, part two

I walk into crosswalks “like a boss,” now because I figure if a car doesn’t stop in time they are probably just doing the world a favor. Believe it or not, in this part of Texas, pedestrians are usually the exception and distracted drivers are certainly the norm.

And then today I see this and just laughed so hard I might have burst something.

With each new song or video I discover, I like Pop Evil more and more. This one is an incredibly personal video Leigh Kakaty created as part of his healing process.

I would hope someday to have an impact on someone like his father made on him; although as I look at the wreckage that is my emotional life I don’t think I should hold my breath. Maybe I should hope for fewer people to spit on my grave, first, and work up from there.
