Oh, man, that was good.

The boys and I went to see Wallace and Grommit this weekend. I haven’t laughed so hard at a movie in ages. Well, okay, to be fair, if you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know that I tend toward the more depressing end of the movie spectrum. But even comedies don’t come (often) as funny as “Curse of the Were Rabbit”

A truly special movie and now I can’t wait to have the DVD so I can watch bits of it over and over and over again.

Without giving much away? The dogfight sequence is awesome…

Three little ducks go into a bar…

“Say, what’s your name?” the bartender asked the first duck.

“Huey,” was the reply.

“How’s your day been, Huey?”

“Great. Lovely day. Had a ball. Been in and out of puddles all day. What
else could a duck want?” said Huey.

“Oh. That’s nice,” said the bartender. He turned to the second duck, “Hi,
and what’s your name?” (and no, I don’t know why the bartender sounds like
the lady from Romper Room. I don’t write this stuff, folks)

“Dewey,” came the answer from duck number two.

“So how’s your day been, Dewey?” he asked.

“Great. Lovely day. I’ve had a ball too. Been in and out of puddles all
day myself. What else could a duck want?”

The bartender turned to the third duck and said, “So, you must be Louie?”

“No,” she said, batting her eyelashes. “My name is Puddles.”

Just stating the obvious:

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Exxon Mobil Corp. on Thursday posted a quarterly
profit of $9.9 billion, the largest in U.S. corporate history, as it raked
in a bonanza from record oil and gas prices.

Yeah. I shoulda bought stock all those years ago. This is why they need
govt. assistance to build more refineries, by the way.
