Update about that Palm on ebay

Okay, the guy from Chicago that can’t figure out how to mail a Palm Pilot?

He’s got the right idea, apparently. The bid (with time left to go) is now up to $168.

That’s right, it’s $30 less than a brand-spanking new one at Best Buy, or Circuit City, or direct from Palm itself (with free shipping!).

As for me, I’ve decided to wait, and learn more about these monsters before I commit. I mean, yes I love gadgets, and I need to be better organized and keep track of appointments and other obligations (I keep forgetting things, it ain’t pretty), but I can wait a little longer and figure out what I want and how much I wanna spend.

Too good to last

Okay, apparently the jig is up. (is that how the saying goes? Isn’t “gig” just as appropriate?)

I’ve been googled not once but three times by someone at the US House of Representatives. Just this morning!

Maybe I’ve said something wrong. Perhaps, as we speak, my cell phone (which is, you know, LOST) is being tapped without a search warrant by somebody at our govt. Or somebody else’s govt (“Hey, you don’t need a warrant anymore! Let’s go!”) Perhaps someone has learned of my sordid love affair with Tivo and they are drafting a constitutional amendment banning our planned nuptials.
