… I found my cell phone.
It was hiding under the seat in the van. Don’t know why it took me a week to locate it (rolls eyes)

It’s sunday night.
Everyone is in bed, ‘cept me.
I just watched “Skeleton Key,” which was better than I expected. And not just because I big puffy pink heart Kate Hudson. Still.
It’s been a busy weekend here at the casa. We cleaned the garage (if I remember I’ll take a picture of the pile by the curb, they should haul it off tomorrow so if I don’t take a picture you’ll just have to take my word for it: it’s big.)
Friday night we had a “date,” my wife and I. It was glorious being away from the kids for a few hours. Also, expensive. But worth it. I just wish we were “connecting” more than we are. My wife could have been with anybody, the way she was acting. Closed, like a book. I don’t know if I’ve done so much damage to our relationship that there’s no way back. I just don’t know.
Saturday we cleaned the garage. (see above). Today (Sunday) we did basic housework, laundry and dishes and stuff around the house that’s been waiting too long.
The Steelers won. Which is a good thing.
Did I mention Kate Hudson is babelicious? Dayum. But that’s probably the rum talking.
Speaking of rum (I was), it’s really good with just some ice cubes in it. But it ruins my train of thought. Where was I?
Hope everyone had a fine weekend; I’m gonna be busy tomorrow so probably won’t be around much. Or maybe I will. Hell, I never know this far in advance.
Peace.
Missing: One pair of New Balance boys tennis shoes.
Size five.
Last seen: on my boy’s feet Friday afternoon on the way home from school.
We have scoured this house backward and forward, top to bottom. They are nowhere to be found. He wore Yu-gi-Oh sandals to church this morning. Not that he minded.
Would you mind, in the course of your day, glancing in your closets or on your kids feet or under their bed, and lemme know if you’ve gained a pair of shoes? I don’t know where else they could be. I figure he found a way to e-mail them off somewhere.
Thanks.
