Spiderman

I thought you might like to know 2 things:

1. I no longer want to see Spider Man III after seeing the stupid Fruit Rollups commercial. Why this particular product tie-in put me over the edge, I can’t say, but it did. I’m required to see it because my son is a huge Spider Fan and has been talking about this one since before the curtain went up on number 2.
2. The Bunnies are back and they’ve done Spiderman I and II kinda mixed together. Funny as hell (check out Charlotte’s cameo near the beginning)

I went home for lunch today (which is a big deal as the weather is atrocious right now. Remember how I talk about how it’s often 70 degrees here? And was yesterday? Today it’s 40 and windy and rainy. But I digress)

I went home for lunch, and my boys were watching Spiderman. After I made a sandwich I sat with them for a minute. (Anyone who has not seen Spiderman and who doesn’t want a minor spoiler, go away now) There’s a scene where Willem Defoe’s character is arguing with himself (and when Norman realizes he’s actually the Green Goblin). Okay so this is a plot development trick and a kinda cheap one at that - having the dude argue with the mirror and use two different voices, real original.

What’s important is that he was clearly drinking Maker’s Mark, which is my whiskey of choice.

And, I’ve been known to talk to myself in the mirror at times, too…

My son was crying last night; he just learned that all the showings for Spiderman II were sold out:

“Why did they have to make it so good that all the big people wanted to see it?”
