South-Park

So I guess I need to bring the balance here back toward the ’silly,’ and not so much the ‘old’ or ‘bear’ part.

How about a quote?

“When they call the roll in the Senate, the Senators do not know whether to answer ‘Present’ or ‘Not guilty.’”

That would be from Teddy. Teddy Roosevelt.

(did you know that congress worked only three months this year? Not a bad way to earn some money. Oh, and the senate actually met a few days for only one minute. No, I’m not making this up. Vote all the bastards out, let’s let a new batch of bastards have a chance to squander our country. )

(hat tip to David Brin. If you aren’t reading David, you should)

Let’s see, what else?

I ran 5K this morning. Not “a” 5K, like a run where you get a t-shirt, but the distance. It’s up to the park, around, a little extra, then back home. It was hard, because I didn’t eat dinner last night, the Cowboys sucked, and I drank two beers and a glass of wine yesterday and probably not enough water. But my pace was still 11 something, so I’ll take it.

Another quote:

“Sometimes what’s right isn’t as important as what’s profitable.”

That would be Parker and Stone, also known as South Park or “America - Fuck yeah!”

Gotta run. Y’all have a lovely day.
