Not to scare anybody

But do we really expect the same people that didn’t know that people were stranded at the New Orleans Convention Center (in spite of them being interviewed on TV every five minutes), and couldn’t provide support for the evacuation during Rita to realistically be able to plan for a flu pandemic?

Here’s some advice: wash your hands, a lot. Don’t panic. Don’t wait for our government to do anything helpful. Throwing $7 billion at the problem will not solve it (if our track record of throwing money at terrorism and drug abuse is any indication)

Out of Gas

What a pisser!

The gas stations in town are all out of gas. I saw two cars within a half mile of each other that looked like they had run out of gas. When will we get more? No one knows.

Emergency planning? WTF is that? It means that when you tell the fourth largest city in America to evacuate, you have enough GAS for them to do it!

Grrr.
