Not meant to be taken literally
A few weeks ago we are at church, listening to a talk about the Beatitudes, and during a certain part my wife looked over at me and smiled. She knew i was thinking about this:

What mom said: “It’s bedtime; go give your dad a hug and ask him to tuck you in bed.” What the child does: Walks up to me in the other room and says “I wanna piece of cheese.”
