Y’all are holding out on me!

Okay, I know I live in a small town. Under a rock, sometimes. In De Nile, lots of times.

But there is no reason I did not know about this…

Chocolate Therapy. A Ben and Jerry’s Mood Magic flavor.

Chocolate Ice Cream with Chocolate Cookies & Swirls of Chocolate Pudding Ice Cream

It even has a mood ring on the carton.

Under a rock

That’s pretty much where I am right now. Lotsa work to do, kids still sick (oldest now has an ear infection, you know the drill, finally got his prescription filled at 4:00 yesterday for antibiotics so hopefully he’s on the mend; Mom has him with her at work) and I skipped breakfast since I ate a whole damn pint of Ben and Jerry’s last night and I’m ready to kill for something to eat right now.

Anyway, I thought since I’m gonna be boring and non-existant and all that I’d at least leave you with a picture almost as exciting as the last two.

Enjoy.

That’s the calories in a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cookie Dough.

And I ate the whole thing.

Feedburner junk:

“A newt?”

“I got better.”

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words after my lame-o post this afternoon. I went out and found some “Shock the Chunky Monkey,” which is a new Ben and Jerry’s flavor with little chunks of chocolate-coated Prozac, swirls of caramel, and banana ice cream. It’s da bomb!

Seriously, folks, if I had some Ben and Jerry’s I’d be eating it with two hands and unnabll two tiiiype.

Heh.

Oh, and I might be depressed! Lookie what I found:

The symptoms of depression include:

  1. lowered mood, feelings of sadness or emptiness
  2. changes in sleep
Depressed people may have difficulty falling asleep and typically wake up in the middle of the night and have difficulty resuming sleep. Depressed people may also find they wake early in the morning and can’t resume sleep. Other depressed people find that they are sleeper longer than is usual for them at night or that they are having increased sleep during the daytime.
  3. marked increase or decrease in appetite and associated weight loss or weight gain
  4. thoughts of self harm or suicide
  5. decreased motivation
  6. lack of energy
  7. thoughts of uselessness, worthlessness, hopelessness or inappropriate guilt
  8. feeling agitated or slowed down
  9. poor concentration and memory and difficulty making decisions
  10. decreased enjoyment of or loss of interest in activities previously found pleasurable or important such as work, hobbies, sport

And seeing as how I’m pretty much 10 for 10 my quarterback rating is now 3.6 RBI. That means I may already be a winner, and your mileage may vary. Void where prohibited.

I’ve been laughing like a schoolkid all afternoon. We went and saw the new Thunderbirds, and what a hoot! I thought it was great. No, it definitely was not the Thunderbirds of before, except perhaps in name, but it was a fun summer “popcorn movie”. The kind of movie you go see to perhaps beat the heat, or the boredom, or whatever. And I knew going into it that I actually paid real money to see “Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed” so how bad could it be?

Bonus: Lady Penelope is my new hero. She went from looking like this:

(that’s her on the right)

to this:

PLUS she gets all the best lines and has a pretty cool car (for a Ford)

So yes, I loved it and yes, I’d go see it again, in a heartbeat. And product placement? Think cars (see above) and believe it or not: Ben and Jerry’s gets a brief spot.

The plot is no more complicated than your average Batman or Pokemon, the violence is hitting people with fists (the villain, Ben Kingsley, has mind control so no need for guns) and sex? Fuggedaboutit.

If you go see Thunderbirds, lemme know what you think…
