Today I learned I can still swallow my pride and accept a kindness. Just smile and say “thank you” and accept the help when someone offers to do something for me; when my strongest impulse is to refuse with “I’m ok, I don’t need any help, but thanks anyway.” There are good people everywhere.
Not only do I need this book: I’d really like someone to read it to me at bedtime.
