About

Well, I’ve had a blog for a couple years over on Blogger.  I started getting tired of messing with some of the blogger “features,” but really I just wanted an excuse to play with WordPress and tinker with templates and stuff.

Please remember that I’m still putting crap in, so if you aren’t on the blogroll over there, it’s because right now I’m not too worried about filling in the links.  I still have my blogroller blogroll from my other blog to get around with.  Right now I’m messing with layout and such and learning about all the lovely gizmos that came with WordPress.  And I’ll need to add things that I liked before, like web counters and links to some of my favorite things (like Boobiethon and Opera).

To Do:

  1. Fix CSS on flickr photo galleryI deleted the gallery since all kinds of people were hitting my site just to look at other people’s pictures
  2. Fix behind-the scenes Javascript Errors
  3. learn to write

Also, I’d like to add a little information for those who stumble here via google or whatever search engine turns you on. First of all, and most obvious to me (but apparently nobody else) – I used to have some photo galleries from Flickr cached here. Google image search (GIS) picked up on this, and I realized pretty quick that hundreds of people were coming by to look at these photos which were using up my bandwidth but weren’t even my pictures to begin with! So I nuked the gallery. Gone. Kaput. Has google figured this out? Hell no. That’s why every one of them gives a 404 error. But the hits just keep on coming..

Second, sometimes Google has something listed as being in a category or under my author name or something, and when you get here you can’t find it. That’s because when I first started the blog, if you clicked on a category (like “movies”) it showed all of the posts. Now I have pagination, which is a funny way of saying that you’ll see a few entries and a link at the bottom saying “more.”

Finally, in spite of hundreds of people coming here lookng for a picture of whomever, I have not had a single e-mail asking me about where to find stuff. Telling, isn’t it?
More to come…
