You should have seen the look the cashier gave me at the wholesale club. I bought a spindle of 50 CD-R’s and a copy of “Dark Side of the Moon.”
He looks at me, and says “have fun copying.”
“I’m not going to copy it.”
That is when he gave me the look. See, now I’m not gonna bother explaining to the cashier at the wholesale club, but it’s like this: I can do more than one thing at a time. In this instance, I went to buy CDR’s (my wife burns powerpoint presentations for students, I burn copies of concerts for friends), and I happened to see they had DSotM on sale. Now normally it would bother me to pinch such pennies for one of my favorite artists, but having spent plenty on Floydian music over the years (albums, 8-tracks, VHS, CD’s, concerts, t-shirts, well, you get the picture) I didn’t think they’d mind much that I bought this one (again) on sale.
But I wonder what they would think about the cashier assuming I was going to burn 50 copies of their thirty-something year old album?
(yes, this entry is about nothing at all. That’s all I can do this morning)
