The sound of not so silent

Simon and Garfunkel played a free show to over 600,000 fans in rome.

Okay, y’all, that’s a lot of people. A lot. Our town has something like 50,000 residents, so that’s like six eleven of my towns all getting together and:

“Hey, I think I’ll go take in a show. Live music, perhaps.”

*town checks the paper*

“Hey, who’s this Simpson and Gladfunky? Have you ever heard of them, honey?”

“Yeah, I think they did some song about a bridge that had those grooves in it. And one about some other bridge that they had trouble with. And the sound of quiet, whatever that is. Wanna go?”

“They say it’s free!”

“I am SO there. Let me set the TIVO to get Simple Life 2 before we go, that is such a great show…”

Yeah, my town would be like that.
