Children-of-Men

Okay.

No work or school today. Roads don’t look that bad, but word from the city is that all the bridges have ice, stay home.

Nowhere to go, really, except I’d like to see Children of Men. Not sure my wife will let me escape the cabin-fevered children for a couple hours or not. I can walk to the theater in fifteen minutes, so no navigating ice by vehicle required.

Finished the wine. Have one bottle I held back, that my brother-in-law made and gave us for Christmas. That’s “the good stuff.”

Supply situation:
No more beer.

Still have whiskey and rum, if the kids haven’t finished it while I was passed out.

Still have coffee (although I’m done for the day, I’m on my last allotted cup, unless the governor declares a disaster emergency)

Worse?

No more Poppycock. Man, I hate when the poppycock doesn’t last long enough.

(CPS: Just kidding about the ‘passed out’ part. I was teaching the baby how to make meth down in the basement).

My son just brought me a paper cup full of sleet (he stuck his hand out the doggie door to collect it). Actually, a couple paper cups, so his hand heat wouldn’t melt it. Smart kid.

I doubt I’ll go (to the movie), I’m afraid of what I’d find when I returned.
