We spend a big chunk of change on Greg's big TV a few years ago and yeah the thing is annoying big. (big, big, big)

I think if he mentioned upgrading to a flat one I may have to finally smother him with a pillow in his sleep.

Two separate issues to contend with here that I am aware of (since I had been pondering a similar situation recently).

1. Currently the Flat Panels are coming down in price in a huge way right now. So much so that Sony is complaining about it. So, I am going to wait out the free fall just a bit longer. (y)

2. The other reason I am waiting is trying to work out logistics. I would dearly love to get rid of the the old TV, and the ugly "Entertainment Center" it sits in. But, mounting the TV on the wall covers the TV, still leaving me with the issue of the Stereo, Tivo, PS2, etc that is also housed in that space. Just something else to ponder. :s

We're in exactly the same situation. The big TV hogs tons of living room space, but we're not sure the prices on the flat screens are where they should be to make the switch.

At the very least, I'd wait until after Christmas when the retailers are trying for one last gasp of profit.
